Audio Engineer Academy
Terms of Use
By using Audio Engineer Academy and the AEA Bridge plug-in you agree to these terms. Please take a moment to read them.
1. About the app
Audio Engineer Academy is an ear training app for audio engineering and music production. On Mac it also includes Live tools that, with the free AEA Bridge plug-in, let you listen to and measure the mix in your DAW. The app is owned and developed by Şahin Salt.
2. License
You may use the app and the bridge plug-in for personal use. The license is non-transferable and non-exclusive. You may not copy or redistribute the app or the plug-in, reverse-engineer them, use their content (audio samples, texts, images) elsewhere without permission, or modify them to get around their limits.
3. Free version and purchases
Free version
5 exercises, 5 questions per session and lives that refill over time. You can choose to watch a rewarded ad for an extra life or more questions; this is entirely optional.
Purchases (all one-time)
- Pro: all exercises, unlimited questions, exams and level-ups, your own audio files, Tools and detailed progress reports; no ads.
- Pro + Live (full bundle): Pro plus Live on Mac (Channel Clash and Gain).
- Live upgrade: Live for people who already have Pro.
Purchases are not subscriptions, never renew and are never charged again. Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy. Everyone who buys Pro by October 20, 2026 gets Live for free.
Live trial
You can try Live free for 5 days. The trial can be used once per Apple account and runs for 5 days from the start date in Apple's purchase record; deleting and reinstalling the app does not restart it. When it ends, Channel Clash and Gain close; free features and anything you bought stay open. The trial is never charged.
4. Payment and refunds
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store; Apple collects the payment and we have no access to your card details.
Refunds: Apple makes the sale, so refunds are handled by Apple: go to reportaproblem.apple.com, choose the purchase and submit a request. Apple decides. If you have questions, write to destek@audioengineeracademy.com.
New device: Your purchases are tied to your Apple account. On a new device, sign in with the same account and tap "Restore purchase" to get them all back.
5. AEA Bridge plug-in
The bridge plug-in is free and provided "as is". It doesn't change the audio and doesn't write to your DAW projects or files. You can remove everything it installs with the uninstaller in the package.
6. Your own audio files
Files you upload stay only on your device. You are responsible for the rights to the content you upload.
7. Educational content
The app is for training; no particular result, certificate or professional qualification is guaranteed. The measurement tools (LUFS, true peak, tonal balance, Gain suggestions, etc.) are for reference; the Live tools help you decide and never change your channels by themselves.
8. Hearing health
Listening at high volume for long periods can damage your hearing. Keep the volume at the lowest comfortable level and take regular breaks.
9. Availability and limitation of liability
We keep developing the app and features may change over time. The app and the plug-in are provided "as is". We accept no liability for indirect damages; in any case our liability is limited to the amount you paid. This does not affect rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived by contract.
10. Age
The app is not directed at children. If you are under 18, use it with the knowledge of your parent or guardian.
11. Privacy
How your data is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated; the current version is always on this page. They are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. As a consumer, you keep your right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts.
