Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This policy explains which data the Audio Engineer Academy app and the AEA Bridge plug-in on Mac process, where that data is kept and what your rights are.

1. Who processes your data

The developer of the app, and the data controller under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and the GDPR, is Şahin Salt (individual). Contact: destek@audioengineeracademy.com

2. Summary

The app itself sends no data to any server. We have no server and no account system. Your progress, settings, uploaded audio files and purchase record stay only on your device.

On Mac, the Live tools process the audio coming from your DAW only on that Mac; audio is not recorded and is never sent anywhere.

The free version shows ads, served by Google AdMob, which collects its own data. Once you buy Pro, no ads are shown and the ad system is never started.

3. Data kept on your device

This data is removed from your device when you delete the app. The reset option in Settings deletes your progress and settings and keeps the purchase record (your purchases are stored in your Apple account anyway).

If iCloud or a similar backup is on, this data may be included in your device backup together with other app data; that is controlled by your device settings.

4. Live tools on Mac and AEA Bridge

The Live tab works only on Mac. The AEA Bridge plug-in you put on your DAW passes audio through unchanged and sends a copy to the app on the same Mac, inside the computer (127.0.0.1). The app processes this audio in memory only to measure and play it; it doesn't record it, write it to a file or send it to the internet.

The Gain tool talks to your DAW over a Mackie Control MIDI connection and reads channel names, solo and fader state. This information also stays on your Mac.

5. Ads (free version only)

In the free version, when you run out of lives or questions you can choose to watch a rewarded video ad to continue. Watching ads is never required.

Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may process the advertising identifier (IDFA), device model, OS version, language, approximate location from your IP address and your interaction with ads. This data may be processed on Google's servers outside your country and is subject to Google's own policy.

Your consent: on iOS, Apple's tracking permission prompt is shown; if you decline, ads are not personalized. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form is shown; you can change your choice in the app's settings.

6. Purchases

All purchases are one-time (Pro, Pro + Live, Live upgrade); there is no subscription and nothing renews. The Live trial is free and is never charged.

Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card details, name or billing information. The app reads the Apple-signed purchase records on your device (product and purchase date); the trial period and early-supporter access are calculated from that date. This information is not sent to us.

7. Permissions

PermissionWhat for
File pickerSo you can choose your own audio file. Works only when you pick a file.
Tracking (iOS)To personalize ads. The app works fully without it.

The app doesn't access the microphone and doesn't record audio. It doesn't access your contacts, photos or location.

8. Children

The app is designed for audio engineering training and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.

9. Sharing

We don't sell or rent your data. The app itself shares no data with third parties. The only exception is Google AdMob, which serves ads in the free version (section 5).

10. Your rights (KVKK and GDPR)

Because your data isn't kept on our servers, you are in control: delete the app or use the reset option in Settings to remove your data, and reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.

Under Article 11 of KVKK and under the GDPR you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information, correction or deletion, and to object. Send requests to: destek@audioengineeracademy.com
